Nahan -
Nahan at 15 kms is a charming hill
station with lots of old world charm. the main attaraction of
this hill station is the fort belonging to Raja Shamsher
Singh. The famous temple of Lord Shiva called Ranital Temple
is the oldest one. Ranital Garden adjoining this tempe is a
beautiful historical garden through Nahan is near kala amb yet
in winter the temperature here gets quite low and heavy
woollens are required. In summer the climate is mild and light
woolens/cottons are recommended
Rejuk ji Lake- at approx 50 kms from the resort
renuk kake si regarded as the embodiment of renukaji wife of
saga jamdagini and mother of parsurama one of the tem vatars
of lord vishnu. shaped like the profile of a woman , it is the
largest lake in himachal, boating and trekking are the
additional at Renukaji just near the lake is lion safari where
one can see lions and bears in their natural habitat Places of

Phonta Sahib- surrounded by sal forest and on
the baks of river Yamuna, the historic town panonta sahib at
50 kms was founded by the tenth sikh Guru Gobind Singh. the
historic gurdwara commemorates his stay and interestingly the
waters of the Yamuna fall silently below this gurdwara which
happened at the guru's behest the paonta means space for
foothold
Fossil park- this is the site of the largest
fossil found in the Shiwalik hills the park at 3 kms has a
museum and life size models of the animals that once roamed
these tracts
Bala sundari temple- legend has it that the devis pindi appeared in the bag of salt bought at a local
trader. the temple at 6 kms was built by Raja deep prakash of
sirmaur in 1573 AD Close by is a recently bulit Shiva temple
