Day 01 : Delhi-Kadukhal

)
Drive to Kemp Karvan - Swiss cottage camp near
Mussoorie.
Day 02:Kadukhal
Preparation and acclimatization for the
trek.
Day 03: Kadukhal-Jarmola
( 154kms/9hr
)
After an early breakfast, drive to Purola 132kms/4hr.
Later, walk from Purola 1,524m to Jarmola 1,800m.
22kms/5hr.
Day 04 : Jarmola-Mori
( 16kms/5hr
)
Trek along the country road 16kms/4hr with thick
forest on both sides.
Day 05: Mori-Saur
( 24kms/8hr
)
Trek to Netwar - a very popular destination with the
shepherds for its lush green grasslands. Saur is another 12kms easy
walk.
Day 06
: Saur-Osla
A relatively long day.Half way halt is Taluka 1,900m.
Osla has very dense forests of walnut, chestnut and
willow.
Day 07
: Osla-Har Ki Doon
The walk is through lush green terraced fields, grassy
lands and very thick conifer forest.
Day
08 :Har Ki Doon- Lal
Pathar ( 16kms/8hr
)
A hard day’s walk to Lal Pathar 4,250m.
Day
09 : Lal Pathar- Base
Camp ( 12kms/8hr
)
A difficult uphill walk of 7- 8hr
to the base camp 4,545m.
Day 10:Base
Camp-Camp
This is the common catchment area for the Yamuna and
Baspa rivers (flowing through Sangla Valley). The Barsu Pass has to
be crossed early in the morning. The pass at 5,150m offers excellent
panaromic views of the Dhauladhar range.

11 : Camp 1 -
Ranikanda ( 16kms/7hr
)
Steep and then gradual downhill
walk to the grasslands of Ranikanda on the banks of the river Baspa.
Very popular site with the shepherds of
Kinnaur.
Day 12
: Ranikanda- Chitkul ( 21kms/7hr
)
Very gradual downhill walk along the river Baspa with
Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal looming large on either side of the Sangla
Valley. Chitkul, 3,450m is the last village on the old Indo Tibetan
trade route. Drive down to Banjara Camp on the banks of river Baspa
19kms/1hr.
Day 13
:
Sangla Camp
A day of leisure.
Day
14 : Sangla Valley
Visit the 800 year old Kamru
Fort. Also visit Batseri village just across the camp - a perfect
example of hill architecture.

15 : Sangla-Kalpa ( 55kms/2hr
)
Made famous in Kipling’s Kim, Kalpa offers fabulous
panoramic views of the 6,000m high Kinner Kailash range rising
2,000m from the Sutlej riverbed flowing below.

16 :Kalpa-Tabo ( 165kms/6hr
)
Visit Nako enroute.Spend the night in Banjara
Camp.
Day 17
: Tabo
Visit 1002 year old Tabo monastery in the morning.
After lunch, visit Pin Valley.
Day
18 : Tabo-Kaza ( 42kms/2hr
)
Visit Ki monastery and Kibber - one of the highest
motorable village in the world. Check into
hotel.
Day 19
: Kaza-Manali (201kms/10hr
)
Drive to Manali via the 4,551m high Kunzum Pass and
the 3,978m high Rohtang Pass. Check into
hotel.
Day 20
:Manali
Day of leisure/local
sight-seeing.
Day 21
: Manali-Delhi ( 550kms/14hr
)
After early breakfast, drive to Delhi via
Chandigarh. |
