Banjara Camp has recently opened its first camp in
the Kangra Valley. The valley rolls down the
southern edge of the magnificent Dhauladhar range
which provides a dramatic backdrop to the hill
resort of Dharamsala. The upper part of Dharamsala -
Mcleodganj, sometimes known as "Little Lhasa' is
home to the Dalai Lama and functions as the center
for his government in exile. 20 minutes away from
Mcleodganj lies the peaceful, quiet Bhagsu Valley
where the Banjara Camp is situated. Surrounded by
meadows, forests, rivers and the snow line (just a
days trek away) the camp is ideal for a relaxing
time or an adventurous one. In fact the area
promises to be a trekkers paradise! The Camp has
cozy Swiss-style tents that have attached bathrooms,
a well-equipped kitchen and evening bonfires that
keep the chill away.
